Over 2,000 used dryer sheets were collected to create this sustaniable wedding dress. I combined my efforts with a local laundry mat to help in collecting the used dryer sheets. Each sheet was hand folded into a rose with an oragomi technique to create the ball gown skirt. Each rose was hand sewn on for texture and sturdiness. The bodice was hand ruched and connected to the skirt with a 3" waistband to define the waistline. Secured on with zipper and hooks, fits size 4/6 but easily altered up to size 10.
Dress awarded "Best of Show" in the 20th Annual Recycled Fashion Show at Oregon State University 2010
